A 23-year-old Sexton man picked the wrong car to cut the corner in front of on Cox Rd, Monday morning.
The driver of the blue Mitsubishi Lancer was caught on another driver's Dashcam footage when he failed to keep left while turning into Cox Rd off the Mary Valley Highway, Southside at about 11.20am.
The footage was handed into the Gympie police station, and the offending driver was issued an infringement notice totalling the loss of 6 demerit points and fined $306.
A police spokesman said Dashcams cameras are proving to be additional eyes on the roads for police.
The police are encouraging members of the public who capture footage of an offence to provide it to local police for investigation.
