QUEENSLAND'S oldest continuously running Swap Meet is still going strong as 2700 people passed through the Gympie Showgrounds gates on Saturday for the 42nd Annual Swap, run by the Gympie Historic Auto Club.
With cars on display and about 320 stallholders offering parts, tools and collectables, swap convener Noel Morgan said people travelled from around south-east Queensland to attend the swap.
"We were really pleased with it, it's our only fundraiser for the year so we like to make it count," Mr Morgan said.
The Gympie Historic Auto Club formed in 1967 to foster the preservation, restoration and use of historic vehicles. The club meets once a month and you can join with any car older than 30 years.
