If you are a business-minded resident wondering what excitement the future holds for the region, and how to play a part, the next breakfast meeting of the Gympie Chamber of Commerce will be eye opening.
At the Gympie RSL on July 9, data specialist and “big picture thinker” Neil Glentworth will do a deep dive into the world of opportunity at the region’s fingertips, boosted by the construction and opening of the Gympie Bruce Highway Bypass.
Since the $1 billion bypass was completed, travel between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast and Gympie has become easier and safer, a fact that is projected to continue to bring more visitors to the already booming region.
Mr Glentworth, who has founded two successful data advisory organisations, will be the keynote speaker on July 9, emphasising “the power of proactive decision-making, collaboration, and adaptability in shaping Gympie’s future.”
The meeting will start at 6.30am, and Mr Glentworth said attendees can expect no-nonsense data analyses, using real-world examples of communities that have turned challenges into opportunities.
Mr Glenworth started his business Evinact at his kitchen table, and it has become a nationally respected professional service that state governments and private corporations trust, according to his website.
He has said the key to economic resilience and growth comes down to three things: innovation, investment, and local engagement.
