Burglars, car thieves target Imbil, Widgee, Goomeri, Tin Can Bay, Rainbow Beach
Gympie police have issued a warning to home and business owners as crooks target homes in Imbil, Goomeri, Widgee, Kilkivan, Tin Can Bay and Rainbow Beach.

Imbil, Goomeri, Widgee, Kilkivan, Tin Can Bay and Rainbow Beach residents have been urged by police to review their home and business security, and to lock and secure vehicles and keep valuables out of sight.
It follows a spate of property crime in those Gympie region communities, including a burglary at Upper Widgee Road, Widgee between January 28-31, where a burglar gained entry through a window.

Police are also investigating a burglary in Hodge Street, Goomeri between February 9-10, where offenders got into the house, found the keys to two cars and stole them (both cars have since been found).
A reported break and enter occurred in Bligh Street, Kilkivan between February 9-10, left a front glass door smashed in, and on February 6, two number plates were stolen from cars parked at Tin Can Bay Road, Tin Can Bay. The registration numbers were TRI 770 268 YUH.
