Bruce Highway truck rollover at Bells Bridge

North bound traffic on the Bruce Highway ground to a halt following an incident on the roundabout at Bells Bridge, north of Gympie.

Emergency services rushed to the scene of a truck rollover on the Bruce Highway north of Gympie at Bells Bridge.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said the truck rolled over on the north bound lane leading into the major roundabout connecting the Bruce Highway and Wide Bay Highway.

The truck was being driven by a man in his 50s, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said.

He was assessed at the scene for injuries and in a stable condition. The man was able to get out of the vehicle on his own.

Traffic was backed up for 7km in the northbound lane on the Bruce Highway.

The truck has since been towed away from the scene and traffic congestion is clearing.
