Bruce Highway crash involves truck and multiple cars

Emergency crews are on the scene of an incident involving a truck and multiple vehicles on the Bruce Highway south of Gympie.

Multi car incident on Bruce Hwy Kybong

Emergency crews are on the scene of what is believed to be a traffic incident involving multiple cars and a truck in the southbound lanes of the Bruce Highway south of Gympie.

Early reports indicate nobody has been seriously injured in the incident which occurred about 11am at Kybong.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said a woman in her 80s was transported to Gympie Hospital in a stable condition after being assessed by paramedics at the scene, and a man in his 70s was also assessed for injury but did not appear to have required ambulance transport.

It is unclear what cause the crash, and whether or not there was one or two trucks involved, plus multiple cars. Traffic is flowing on the highway.
