Investigations are underway into a fatal single vehicle crash near Amamoor early Thursday morning.
A 38-year-old woman died at the scene, after her car, a blue ute, travelling from Amamoor left Blackgate Rd and rolled.
The accident happened about 100m before the intersection at Mary Valley and Blackgate Rds, police said.
Emergency services rushed to the scene about 18km south of Gympie after receiving an emergency call just after 1am.
The intersection is a notorious spot which has been the scene of several serious crashes over the years.
Police are urging anyone who might have been driving through the area at the time, or who may have relevant dash-cam footage, to contact them.
Investigations are ongoing, they said.
As at October this year, 43 people had died on Wide Bay-Burnett roads which was 19 more than at the same time last year.
Police are so concerned about the increasing road toll that additional officers from the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane were brought in to carry out extended patrols in the region as part of Operation Bombay.
More to come.
