50 shades of weather creates a storm on Facebook

We couldn't run it in print but it's worth checking out this terribly cheeky weather system

A WEATHER system formed near Goondiwindi yesterday and to describe its shape as "cheeky” or "unusual” is really not doing it justice.

It was downright rude.

There are certain topics and images media outlets like The Gympie Times can get away with on their websites and social media platforms that they simply can not in print.

Unlike rude weather systems, this phenomena has been experienced in the Gympie region before, which is why you won't see a story about it in today's Gympie Times.

But you will find it on our Facebook page and website. It had already attracted quite a few comments and "Likes” last night.

"Looks like Toowoomba is about to cop a hammering,” someone said.

"Oooh look, Donald Trump hovering over Toowoomba,” another said.

Yet another person quoted the chorus of a famous Bob Dylan song about a "hard rain a-gonna fall”.
