Gladstone woman killed in crash on Bruce Highway at Bajool

A 28-year-old Gladstone woman has died following a single-vehicle crash on the Bruce Highway overnight.

The Bruce Highway has been closed in both directions near Rockhampton after a serious crash at Bajool.

A 28-year-old Gladstone woman has died following a single-vehicle accident on the Bruce Highway at Bajool, south of Rockhampton, overnight.

The woman was a passenger in a Hilux ute travelling north near the intersection of Sisalana Rd when police say “an incident occurred”.

The woman died at the scene.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant vision to contact them.

They later confirmed they are investigating whether the woman had jumped from a moving vehicle.

The Bruce Highway was blocked for hours after the crash.
