Described as a little pocket rocket with a huge personality and a wicked sense of humour, Gladstone’s Ruby Saywell has been named Central Queensland’s cheekiest toddler of 2024.
Nominated by her mum Sharmaine Saywell, Ruby is a rambunctious 3 year old, keeping everyone on their toes with her adorable antics, perfecting her funny faces and coming up with the cheeky responses.
With a love for playing dress up and eating cake, Ruby is as cute as a button and is often found hiding under her piles of squishimals or behind the couch.
According to her mum, Sharmaine, Ruby’s favourite response lately when asked to do something she’s not keen on doing, like picking up her toys, is “mmm maybe not.”
Sharmaine said she never questioned for a moment just how cheeky her daughter was.
“She’s the cheekiest toddler in the country with or without the crown,” she said.
Recently becoming a big sister, Ruby has now taken on the job of teaching her baby sister to be just as cheeky as her.
“I look forward to telling her when she gets older she was crowned CQ’s cheekiest toddler,” Sharmaine said.
#2 Ryker
Coming in as the runner up with Rockhampton’s cheekiest little boy, two and a half year old Ryker has received 7 per cent of the votes.
#3 Tied between Kyjaton-Abel and Paisley
Tying for third place, narrowly missing second place by just two votes, Kyjaton-Abel: a 1 year and 10 month old boy from Gladstone, and Paisley: a two years and nine month old girl from Rockhampton, scored 6 per cent of the votes.
#4 Piper
With only one vote separating second and third place, Piper, a two year old girl from Rockhampton has placed in fourth with 6 per cent of the votes.
#5 Braxton
Coming in fifth place with 5 per cent of the votes was one year old Gladstone boy, Braxton.
