Three Gladstone hoons have parted ways with their cars after police caught them in the act.
The young men, aged between 19 and 26, have been punished after police intercepted them mid-hoon.
A 2o-year-old South Gladstone man was the first to go down.
On Thursday, May 12, police allegedly observed the young adult fishtailing his vehicle from Tank Street to Auckland Street around 3.45pm, narrowly missing a parked vehicle.
Immediate action was taken as police dealt out a hefty infringement as well as issuing the 20-year-old with an on-the-spot vehicle impoundment.
While the other two men kept their vehicles, they will be immobilised for 90 days.
One of them was surprised by police conducting patrols in the area around 10.35pm - the 26-year-old Glen Eden man was caught performing a burnout along Tank Street, South Gladstone on Friday, May 6.
Following this, a 19-year-old New Auckland man was allegedly flagged down by police after they heard and witnessed his vehicle conducting a burnout around the corner from Daintree Boulevard.
He copped a heavy infringement for wilfully causing unnecessary noise and smoke.
