A Gladstone man will face court next week after allegedly sexually assaulting a woman multiple times on the same day.

The 37-year-old New Auckland man is alleged to have assaulted a woman five times on January 30; he was then arrested and released on bail the following day.

Police have charged the man with three counts of unlawfully and indecently assaulting a woman, and two charges of common assault allegedly against the same woman.

The man’s matter was briefly heard on Monday and was adjourned until next week.

In Gladstone District Court this week, another man pleaded guilty to stabbing his ex-girlfriend’s brother in the back on a mattress after a wine-drink fuelled fight.
