Teenager who plunged from Round Hill Lookout in West Gladstone out of hospital

Emergency crews took 45 minutes to rescue the 17-year-old who had plunged 10-15 metres from a lookout in the Gladstone region. *Distressing.

A teenager who suffered serious injuries after he fell from a lookout in Gladstone has made a recovery.

Paramedics were alerted by police to go to the Round Hill Lookout off Boles Street in West Gladstone at 1.04am on Saturday, February 24.

Firefighters assisted with the rescue, and it was reported the teen was 10m to 15m down an embankment.

Two crews arrived at 1.15am but were unable to access the teenager unable 1.55am, putting him on a stretcher and taking him to a safe place where he was met by paramedics.

The teen was treated for head injuries and taken to Gladstone Hospital in a serious condition.

A Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service spokesperson confirmed on Monday morning the teen had been discharged.
