A Gladstone woman living in a housing commission property in Logan has faced court after tossing a metal water bottle at her neighbour’s window after an argument.
Sonita-Skye Christina McLean, 26, was in a Department of Housing home at Woodridge when she cracked her neighbour’s window on October 18, 2021.
Police prosecutor Senior Constable Carl Spargo said McLean was found in Gladstone on December 23 and arrested.
McLean was not in court and her matter was dealt with ex-parte.
She said through a document in the court, that she was a single mum of two and had issues with her housemate.
McLean wrote she had the police out three times to deal with the matter but eventually, she got ‘really upset and pissed’.
She lived from motel to motel, worried about her children’s safety.
The court heard she had dodged recorded convictions five times.
Acting Magistrate John Milburn said it was in the public interest for people to know the truth of McLean’s offending.
McLean pleaded guilty to wilful damage and contravening direction or requirement of police and was fined $650 with convictions recorded.
