A plan to transform a motel into a retirement home in Tannum Sands has been lodged with Gladstone Regional Council.
The Palm Valley Motel on Beach Avenue could be transformed into a long-term retirement living facility.
Developers Beach Rd Supported Independent Living plans on having a 20-unit residence using the existing motel rooms on 22 Beach Avenue.
The proposal seeks to split the lot into two, with the second 1189 sqm plot to have an existing dwelling transformed into a reception office.
There will be a total of 38 car parks that will be available on site.
A pool area, barbecue area and common room are also part of this development.
The development is currently sitting with the council awaiting a decision.
