An expectant mother appeared in the Gladstone Magistrates Court on Monday charged with several drug possession and paraphernalia offences.
Telia Josephine Grace Delta, 22, pleaded guilty to possessing dangerous drugs and possessing utensils or pipes that had been used.
Prosecutor Sergeant Merrilyn Hoskins told the court that on September 7, around 1pm, police executed a search warrant on an Ormonde Street address.
Upon searching the address police located a white electric grinder, a metal grinder, a water pipe and a bowl which contained less than a gram of cannabis in the living room.
When questioned, Delta admitted the items were hers and using them to smoke cannabis.
She was issued a notice to appear in the Gladstone Magistrates Court.
Delta’s lawyer Pierre Lannersdorf said his client was in the final week of her pregnancy term and was remorseful for her actions.
Magistrate Bevan Manthey ordered Delta attend drug diversion and placed her on a six month good behaviour bond with a $200 recognisance.
