Kelly Louise Peirce, 35, pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Friday to 19 charges including possessing dangerous drugs and obstruct police officer.

Police prosecutor Merrilyn Hoskins told the court that during one of Peirce’s offences, she was intercepted by police driving on Mount Larcom Bracewell Road on June 12, around 4.15pm.

“The defendant provided a version of events which were inconsistent with these observations and she appeared highly nervous when speaking with police.”

A police search of Peirce’s car was conducted which uncovered 0.2 grams of methamphetamine, a glass test tube with white residue and burn marks and a set of nunchucks in the boot of her car.

Peirce claimed all the items as her own and stated she knew they were in her vehicle, she was issued a notice to appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court.
