Four offenders pleaded guilty to varying charges, from drug driving to drug possession, in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Monday.

A psychology student was busted in possession of clip seal bags which she said once contained methamphetamine, a court heard.

Tayla Leigh Moucheron Franicevic, 25, pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Monday to possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence.

On August 24, around 9.45am, police executed a search warrant on Moucheron Franicevic’s Cania Way address in relation to dangerous drugs.

Police located a number of clip seal bags which contained crystal residue in her bedroom.

She told police they once contained methamphetamine and she was planning to bin them, however, had not gotten around to it.

She was issued a notice to appear in the Gladstone Magistrates Court.

Moucheron Franicevic was convicted and fined $300. A conviction was recorded.

David John Griffin, 43

A police search warrant on a man’s shed in the Gladstone region uncovered dangerous drugs and paraphernalia, a court heard.

David John Griffin, 43, pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Monday to possessing dangerous drugs and possessing utensils or pipes etc that had been used.

Police prosecutor Senior Sergeant Tania Griffiths told the court police executed a search warrant on Griffin’s Silverton Drive address in Tannum Sands on September 2.

“The search warrant came about when police acted on information provided to them that the defendant’s son was involved in traffic offences,” she said.

“Upon searching the property, police located a clip seal bag which contained 3.2 grams of marijuana in a shed on the property.”

Within the same shed, police located two homemade water bongs, made from a vegemite container and the other from a chocolate topping bottle and hose.

Griffin told police he used the water pipes to smoke marijuana, before police located a white electric grinder which contained marijuana residue.

Police seized all of the drug items and issued Griffin a notice to appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court.

Magistrate Bevan Manthey convicted and fined Griffin $200. The conviction was not recorded.

The smell of burnt marijuana resulted in a police search which revealed Alexis Liam Temple was in possession of drug paraphernalia, a court heard.

Temple, 23, pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Monday to possessing dangerous drugs and possessing pipes or utensils etc that had been used.

On October 12, around 7.30pm, police intercepted a silver Nissan Navara on Roe Street, Miriam Vale for a random breath test and license check.

Police have then observed the smell of burnt marijuana coming from the driver side window.

The four occupants were detained with a search of the car revealing a used water pipe with an attached hose cone piece under the front passenger seat.

Police then located a plastic container which had 7.5 grams of marijuana under the driver’s seat.

Temple admitted to police both the drugs and utensils were his and said he had back surgery in September and was using marijuana as pain relief.

He was issued a notice to appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court.

Temple was convicted and fined $300 and a conviction was recorded.

Cory Robert James Grittner, 27

A man was caught red handed with dangerous drugs and a bong, standing in his kitchen as police entered his house.

Cory Robert James Grittner, 27, pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Monday to possessing dangerous drugs and possessing drug utensils.

On August 31, around 5.50pm, police attended a Mellefont Street address in relation to a domestic disturbance.

Upon entering the kitchen, police saw Grittner holding a plate in one hand and a red tomato sauce bottle in the other.

A court heard the plate had a mix of green and brown leafy matter on it and the sauce bottle was shaped into a bong with a hose piece attached.

Police also saw an electric grinder on the kitchen bench in plain sight.

Grittner admitted to owning the green leafy material and that it was marijuana he intended to smoke.

He also claimed the tomato sauce bottle and said it was a bong he had used to smoke marijuana prior to police arrival.

Grittner was issued a notice to appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court.

Magistrate Bevan Manthey convicted and fined Grittner $500. A conviction was recorded.
