Emergency services are at an accident on the Bruce Highway near Miriam Vale

The Bruce Highway has been reopened after it was closed in both directions following an accident involving a motorcycle near Miriam Vale.

The Bruce Highway has reopened after it was closed in both directions following an accident involving a motorcycle near Miriam Vale.

The woman riding the motorbike sustained ankle injuries and was taken to Gladstone Hospital in a stable condition.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said they were called to the scene at 8.23am following reports a motorcycle rider had fallen from their vehicle and hit a truck.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics arrived at a scene at 8.30am where a female rider lost traction near Miriam Vale and is awaiting transport to hospital in a stable condition.

A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said three crews were on route to the scene at 8.40am.
