Drink drivers, drug drivers who faced Gladstone court
A trade assistant and a mining industry worker were among the latest traffic offenders to face Gladstone court to get their punishments.

The following people pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court to either drink driving or drug driving offences.
Drink driving

Thomas Williams, 28
Williams blew a reading of .052 after police intercepted him on the Bruce Highway at Benaraby, on February 25.
He pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on March 31 to drink driving.
With no similar offending in the past five years, Williams, a trade assistant, was fined $400 and disqualified from driving for one month.
A traffic conviction was recorded.
Antony Leslie Fallows, 64
Fallows blew a reading of .141 after police intercepted him driving on Auckland Street, Gladstone, on February 5.
Fallows pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on March 11 to drink driving.
The court heard Fallows was a retiree who had done significant charity work during his retirement which was ongoing.
Magistrate Mary Buchanan also took into account that Fallows had no similar offending in the past five years, and that he had completed a traffic offenders program.
She fined him $1000 and disqualified him from driving for three months.

Jemma Louise Wilcox, 38
Wilcox blew a reading of .102 after she was intercepted by police on Hampton Drive, Tannum Sands, on March 3.
She pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on March 31 to drink driving.
With no prior similar offending, Wilcox, an employed mother of three, was fined $650 by Magistrate Mary Buchanan and disqualified from driving for three months.
No traffic conviction was recorded.
Benjamin Victor Hodge, 47
Hodge blew a reading of .055 after police intercepted him on Churchill Street, Childers, on February 9.
He pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on March 31 to drink driving.
With no similar offending in the past five years, Hodge, who had completed a traffic offender’s program, was fined $400 by Magistrate Mary Buchanan and disqualified from driving for two months.
No traffic conviction was recorded.
Tammy Maree Grady, 49
Grady blew a reading of .050 after police intercepted her on the Bruce Highway, Benaraby, on February 12.
She pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on March 31 to drink driving.
With no previous similar offending, Grady, a mother who works in the agriculture industry, was fined $400 and disqualified from driving for one month.

Daniel Neville Tully, 31
Tully was caught driving with methamphetamine and cannabis in his system on Herbert Street, Gladstone, on February 8.
He pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on March 31 to drug driving and public nuisance.
The court heard the public nuisance offending occurred during Tully’s intercept and related to him swearing at police and calling them dogs during an incident that lasted for more than an hour.
With a previous drug driving offence in the past five years, Tully was fined a total of $950 by Magistrate Mary Buchanan and disqualified from driving for three months.

Kyran Johannes Veldhuizen, 31
Veldhuizen was caught driving with cannabis in his system on Toolooa Street, Gladstone, on January 30.
He pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on March 31 to drug driving, obstructing police and public nuisance.
The court heard the obstructing police and public nuisance offending occurred during Veldhuizen’s intercept with the latter involving him calling a police officer a “f***ing dog.”
With two similar traffic offences in the past five years, Veldhuizen, a fruit picker and medicinal cannabis user, was fined a total of $1000 by Magistrate Mary Buchanan and disqualified from driving for six months.

Cody Kenneth Trumper, 23
Trumper had MDMA in his system when police intercepted him on Goondoon Street, Gladstone, on February 10.
He pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on March 31 to drug driving.
With a previous similar offence in the past five years, Trumper, who works in the mining industry, was fined $450 by Magistrate Mary Buchanan and disqualified from driving for three months.
A traffic conviction was recorded.
Nathanial Martin Lancaster, 29
Lancaster was caught driving with cannabis in his system on the Bruce Highway at Benaraby on January 24.
He pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on March 11 to drug driving.
With no prior similar offending, Lancaster was fined $350 by Magistrate Mary Buchanan and disqualified from driving for one month.
A traffic conviction was recorded.
Mathew John Clarke, 44
Clarke had both methamphetamine and cannabis in his system when he was intercepted on the Bruce Highway at Iveragh on November 9 last year.
He was also unlicensed (SPER suspended) at the time.
Clarke pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on March 11 to drug driving and two counts of unlicensed driving.
The court heard the second unlicensed driving offence happened on December 13, again on the Bruce Highway at Iveragh.
With no prior similar offending, Clarke, employed, was fined $1000 and disqualified from driving for six months.
