A Central Queensland man has been charged with serious sexual offences relating to minors.
The man, aged in his late 40s, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with one count of grooming a child under 16 years or parent or carer of child under 16 year-facilitate procurement of child to engage in sexual act and one count of indecent treatment of child under 16 lineal descendant/guardian/carer.
He has not entered a plea.
The man, who is on bail, was represented by solicitor Cassandra Ditchfield, of Kenny & Partners Law, when the matters were mentioned in Gladstone Magistrates Court recently.
A brief of evidence has been acquired and Ms Ditchfield has arranged a conference with her client to discuss its contents, the court heard.
The matter was adjourned by Acting Magistrate Mary Buchanan for committal mention on April 24.
