27-year-old Machine Creek man charged with domestic violence, stalking, allegedly called woman 280 times in one day, due to appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court

A Central Qld man who allegedly stalked a woman, calling her thousands of times and threatening to distribute intimate images of her is now in police custody. Read the lengthy list of charges here.

A Gladstone man who allegedly stalked a woman, including calling her 280 times within 24 hours, in breach of a domestic violence order has been remanded in custody.

Police have charged a 27-year-old Machine Creek man with more than 60 offences relating to breaching DVOs, threatening to distribute intimate images, drug supply, common assault and stalking.

The string of domestic violence and drug related offences allegedly took place between December 2019 and January 2022.

During this time, police allege the man unlawfully stalked a 30-year-old woman, contacting her thousands of times while making threats, including to distribute intimate images of her.

It is further alleged these actions were in breach of a domestic violence order.

The man has been further charged for allegedly contacting a young woman in breach of a separate DVO.

Following extensive investigations, police intercepted a vehicle at Mt Larcom on Wednesday afternoon before arresting the man who was a passenger.

The man appeared in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Thursday and was remanded in custody.

He was charged with 40 counts of breaching a domestic violence order, nine counts of threatening to distribute intimate image (DV), 13 counts of supplying dangerous drugs (marijuana) and one count each of common assault (DV) and unlawful stalking (DV).

His matter was adjourned until August 30.
