Another person has died while positive with Covid-19 in Central Queensland.
According to Queensland Government statistics, one new Covid-positive death has been recorded in Central Queensland since Monday.
This leaves the total death count at eight, on February 15.
CQ Health has confirmed the person was aged in their 80s and was fully vaccinated.
Member for Gladstone Glenn Butcher announced there had been 40 confirmed PCR positives in the past 24 hours.
Of these, 19 were from Rockhampton, six from Gladstone, two from Livingstone, 12 from Central Highlands and one from elsewhere in the country.
There were 173 self-reported RAT positives.
As of 8am Tuesday, 13 Covid patients were in the Rockhampton Hospital, including one who is ventilated in the ICU. The rest are in stable conditions.
Central West Hospital and Health Service announced 14 new Covid cases have been recorded in the past 24 hours.
There are 46 active cases in the Central West, including one in Alpha, one in Aramac, 26 in Barcaldine, two in Blackall, one in Boulia and 15 in Longreach.
