A Central Queensland woman accused of drug trafficking has been committed to stand trial.
Magen Lynn Stubbs, 35, is charged with one count each of trafficking dangerous drugs, and contravening an order about access to information stored electronically.
In Gladstone Magistrates Court on Wednesday, April 16, police prosecutor Kelvin Boyd tendered statements in bulk and read the names of witnesses formally into the record.
Solicitor Stephen White said he did not require Magistrate Mary Buchanan to consider the evidence before her, and he asked for the charges to be committed to the District Court for trial.
Ms Buchanan said Ms Stubbs was charged with trafficking cannabis between November 3, 2022, and September 11, 2024, at Gladstone Central.
She said Ms Stubbs was further charged with contravening an order about information necessary to access information stored electronically on September 17, 2024, at Gladstone Central.
The Magistrate asked Ms Stubbs if she wished to say anything in answer to the charges or enter any plea, and Ms Stubbs replied: “No, Your Honour.”
Ms Buchanan committed Ms Stubbs to trial in the criminal sittings of the District Court at Gladstone on a date to be notified.
She granted Ms Stubbs bail with conditions.
