CCTV footage has shown a would-be thief’s failed and comical attempt to steal a motorbike from a Queensland business.

Police have launched an investigation after a Gladstone business had a window smashed during a break in on the weekend.
About 2am Sunday, December 9, a person broke into the Harbour City Motorcycles store on Soppa St.
CCTV footage of the break in shows a window being smashed before the person enters the business. However the would-be thief left empty-handed.
The footage shows the bumbling bandit, whose face was covered, wearing a motorbike helmet before loading a plank/ramp through the shattered window.
The person then attempts to mount a motorbike but is then seen falling off.
They then try to manoeuvre and push the bike out before eventually giving up and leaving, taking the makeshift ramp with them.
Police are investigating the incident and encourage anyone with information to contact them.
