Emergency crews called to overnight crashes in Tannum Sands, Blackwater

A man was taken to Gladstone Hospital with a leg injury after his car rolled at Tannum Sands, while emergency services were called to Blackwater after a car went down an embankment.

Emergency services around Central Queensland were kept busy on Wednesday night, responding to a number of incidents across the region.

Early Thursday morning emergency crews were called to a single-vehicle rollover at Tannum Sands.

Paramedics were called to the crash about 5.10am on Hampton Drive and Langdon St.

A man was taken to Gladstone Hospital in a stable condition with a leg injury.

On Wednesday, paramedics were called to a crash in Blackwater where a car went down an embankment about 7.25pm off Railway St.

A man in his 40s was taken to Blackwater Hospital in a stable condition.

Meanwhile the RACQ CapRescue helicopter was tasked to Turkey Beach to help transport a young boy to hospital in Rockhampton.

It was reported the patient had a suspected fractured femur after his pet dog tripped him.

The onboard medical team were taken to the residence by police and were assisted by QAS to stabilise the patient.

He was flown to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition for further scans and treatment.
