Police search warrant in Gladstone

A Gladstone man has been charged with a string of 22 charges including possession of testosterone, Viagra and a number of property items not belonging to him.

A search warrant was carried out by police on October 7 at a West Gladstone home, where they also located a trailer that had been stolen two months earlier from the Gold Coast, a 600km drive away.

Following the search, Damien Lee Pearce, 41, was charged with 22 offences for a range of property offences in the Gladstone area.

Police will allege Mr Pearce attended a business on Anson Close, Toolooa, at 12.50am on October 6 and damaged a chain to gain entry.

He then allegedly stole various hand and power tools, batteries and electrical equipment from three vehicles and booked up a box trailer to his vehicle before driving away.

It is further alleged he detached the stolen trailer at Roe Street, Miriam Vale, five hours later.

Police executed the search warrant at an address in Glegg Street at 11am on October 7.

Upon police entry, Mr Pearce is standing in the kitchen shirtless appearing to argue with the police officers.

It will be alleged during the search police located a trailer bearing a false registration identified as stolen from an address at Marina Quays Road, Hope Island between Friday, August 25 and Monday, August 28.

Other items allegedly found during the search including a vial of testosterone, a clip-sealed bag containing a crushed Viagra tablet, a glass pipe, a number of used needles, a number of stolen registration plates allegedly used in a number of fuel drive offs and a number of items of property not belonging to him.

The man was charged with three counts of enter premises and commit indictable offence by break, two counts of receiving tainted property, one count of unlawful use of motor vehicle, one count of unlawful possession of motor vehicle with intent to deprive, one count of unlawful possession of suspected stolen property, four counts of stealing, one count of wilful damage, one count of trespass, four counts of driving unlicensed, one count of fail to dispose of needle, one count of offence to possess medicines, one count of possess dangerous drugs and one count of possess utensils.

Mr Pearce appeared in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Monday where his bail was refused and he was remanded in custody.

He is due to appear again on Wednesday.
