Calliope Police arrest, charge youths for 44 separate offences

A string of property offences in Calliope over one week from August 1-4 has seen four juveniles arrested and charged.

The arrests follow investigations after several break-ins in the area, including a break and enter at the Calliope Roosters Football Club.

The two females were both aged 12 and were each charged with one count of unlawful entry of vehicle, four counts of wilful damage, two counts of stealing and one count of trespass.

The two males, a 12 year-old boy and a 15 year-old teen were each arrested and charged by Calliope Police.

The 12-year-old Calliope boy was charged with one count of enter dwelling and commit, one count of enter dwelling with intent by break at night, one count of enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, one count of unlawful entry of vehicle, three counts of wilful damage, two counts of stealing and one count of trespass.

The 15-year-old Calliope teen was charged with two counts of enter premises and commit indictable offence, one count of enter premises and commit indictable offence by break, two counts of unlawful entry of vehicle, four counts of wilful damage, two counts of stealing and one count of trespass.

All four are local to Calliope, and have been dealt with in accordance with the Youth Justice Act.
