A bus driver has escaped a with minor injuries and abrasions after the coach he was driving rolled more than eight metres down a culvert on the Brisbane Valley Highway.
Emergency services were alerted to the accident on Thursday morning at 5.40am at Ottaba where it’s understood the buss left the road and fell sideways down the embankment.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said there was no suggestion of the driver, a 70-year-old man from Brassall, doing anything inappropriate while driving.
The bus was travelling towards Toogoolawah before leaving the road between Links Lane and Huntley Street at Ottaba near the Brisbane Valley Highway roadworks.
Paramedics also attended the scene and transported the bus driver to Ipswich Hospital with abrasions and spinal precautions.
Queensland police confirmed there were no passengers on the bus at the time of the accident.
The accident is being investigated by police.
