A CONTROLLED hazard reduction burn is underway at Rocky Gully Road Coominya.
Rural Fire brigades from Coominya, Fernvale and Sandy Creek are on scene managing the 400 acre controlled burn which began at noon Thursday.
A spokesperson from Queensland Fire and Emergency Services said the controlled burn was being conducted to reduce the hazards for fire season.
The fire is under control.
