FULL LIST: Where to get your jab over super Pfizer weekend

In hopes of boosting the state’s vaccination rates, Queensland will kick off its super Pfizer vaccination weekend on Saturday, allowing walk-in jabs at 38 mass community hubs. This is what you need to know.

QLD first mass vaccination hub opens

Roll up, roll up – your sleeves that is! This weekend, Queensland will open the doors to 38 community vaccination hubs as well as other smaller outreach sites to make sure everyone around the state has the chance to get the jab.

The ‘super Pfizer weekend’ will run on Saturday and Sunday, and will see hubs not only open for bookings but also walk-ins, with many offering extended hours in hopes of boosting state vaccination rates.

Health Minister Yvette D’Ath urged all Queenslanders to take part in the weekend, saying there were no longer priority groups.

With crowds flocking to the NRL matches in Mackay this weekend, a pop-up hub will even be set up in the stadium.

People will be able to get their jab, make an appointment for the future or even just get information about where their closest hub is.

“It will open at 3pm today (Friday). So if you're heading to the game, pop over early and get your vaccination,” Ms D’Ath said.

With the state racing to reach more than 80 per cent vaccinated Queenslanders, there is a lot riding on this weekend.

“This is a multi-agency, government and non-government collaboration to get as many people vaccinated this weekend as possible, so don’t miss the opportunity.”
