The Fraser Coast Regional Council wants to know how it can improve the attraction.

A new survey asks respondents 10 short questions about their botanic fardens experience.

Cr Darren Everard said the feedback so far had been helpful.

"The Botanic Gardens are there for the community to enjoy and by conducting this survey we can explore what the community truly wants," he said.

"Some of the surveys collected so far have suggested the need for more undercover areas throughout the gardens for functions including weddings."

Cr Everard said the Have Your Say surveys would be available until the end of June.

Surveys are available at the Hervey Bay Orchis House, council's customer service centres in Hervey Bay and Maryboruogh and online at surveymonkey.com/s/JW88XFV.
