Now Padraig is headed to Perth to visit his sister before travelling back to Ireland next month to go back to work.

WHEN Irishman Padraig Milson-McCarthy decided to tick off a bucket list item on Fraser Island, the moment was captured in a way he won't soon forget.

The holiday and hilarious photo to remember took place during a recent visit to the Fraser Coast in what has been a real Aussie adventure for the travelling school teacher.

The 26-year-old knew he was on to something special when he first arrived in the country last October and began working in Melbourne.

But it was his journey along the coast of Queensland that made him really fall in love with Australia.

When he reached Fraser Island he did something he'd never done before - jumped out of a plane.

"I had to make sure to try to take it all in, keep looking around, while trying not to panic," he said.

"It was like something you would see on a postcard.

"That's what it felt like, it didn't feel real."

Padraig is now headed to Perth to visit his sister.
