Saltwater Creek and Island Plantation Rd vehicle crash

Two cars have crashed on the outskirts of Maryborough as heavy rain moves through the region.

Emergency crews have rushed to a crash scene at Saltwater Creek Rd and Island Plantation Rd in St Helens on the Fraser Cosat on Thursday, March 30, 2023.

Emergency crews attended a two-vehicle crash in heavy rain on the outskirts of Maryborough in St Helens late on Thursday morning.

The incident occurred at Island Plantation Rd and Saltwater Creek Rd, about 4km outside of Maryborough on the way to Hervey Bay.

One car was off the road, a Queensland Police Service spokesperson said.

One patient has been transported in a stable condition to Maryborough Hospital and one patient taken to Hervey Bay Hospital, a Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said.

Nobody was trapped.
