Update, 3pm: Traffic is flowing as normal on the Bruce Hwy at Tiaro.

Police believe heavy holiday traffic played a part and delays were not caused by a crash.

Earlier: Police crews have been sent to the Bruce Highway at Tiaro following reports traffic is banked up as far as Hoffmans Rd, Netherby.

It is believed some reports have suggested a caravan had stopped either on or beside the road, causing traffic to grind to a halt.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman confirmed police crews had been sent out to the incident, which was first reported at 11.05am Monday.

She said police were being involved in “traffic management”.
