Eli Waters man hit by car at Torquay two weeks after Tash Raven killed in alleged hit and run

Police are continuing to investigate an incident in which a man was injured in an alleged hit and run, two weeks after the incident that claimed the life of a Hervey Bay mum.

Tributes left at the scene on Boundary Road where Hervey Bay mum Tash Raven was killed in an alleged hit and run.

Police are continuing to investigate after a man was hit by a car at Hervey Bay just two weeks after a mother was allegedly mowed down and killed by a driver in the same city.

The 27-year-old Eli Waters man suffered a leg injury and cuts to his hands after being struck by the car on Freshwater St, Torquay at 2.38am Saturday.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said the man was walking along a footpath before being hit.

“A pedestrian had been struck by a red dual-cab ute at a very low speed,” the spokeswoman said.

The spokeswoman said the driver left the scene before the man was taken to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.

Investigations into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing and police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

This crash comes after Tash Raven, 43, was hit by a car on Boundary Rd in Urangan on May 26, allegedly being driven by 41-year-old Brett David Eddy, as she walked home from an event.

Mr Eddy remains in custody on remand and there is no suggestion the crashes are related.

A Paddle Out Memorial was held in her honour last weekend and her funeral was held on Monday.

Also in the Wide Bay region, two people suffered minor injuries following a single vehicle rollover on Miller St, Bargara at 8.23pm.

They were taken to Bundaberg hospital in stable conditions.
