A couple has faced court on the same day on charges of fraud, stealing property worth more than $5000 and receiving tainted property.
In addition to the fraud and receiving tainted property charges, Matthew John Hall also faced two stealing charges and an attempted fraud charge.
His partner and co-accused in some of the matters, Laura Louise Paunovic, faced additional charges of possessing dangerous drugs and pipes or utensils.
During Mr Hall’s appearance in the Maryborough Magistrates Court on January 28, the court heard he was applying for Legal Aid.
The court heard the couple were late to court because they had been doing the school drop off.
The matter was adjourned to February 18, 2025.
Magistrate John Milburn urged Mr Hall to make arrangements “in advance” to ensure he would be at court on time at his next appearance.
Defence lawyer Michael Riedel represented Ms Paunovic during her brief appearance.
He asked for a five-week adjournment to consider the matter.
The matter was adjourned until March 4.
