28yo charged with assault occasioning bodily harm while armed after alleged stabbing
The identity of a man charged with stabbing another during an “altercation” at a Hervey Bay home can be revealed as the search continues for a second alleged offender.

One man has been charged and a second is wanted by police following an alleged stabbing in a residential street at Hervey Bay on Monday.
Mahlie Dhunga Muhda Mitija Thanba, 28, from Urraween appeared in Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning charged with assault occasioning bodily harm while armed.
Police allege Mr Thanba and another man went to a heavily-hedged home on Oleander Ave, Scarness about 7pm Monday and that during an “altercation” a knife was pulled.
A male resident at the home, also 28, suffered a stab wound to the lower back.
Mr Thanba and the other alleged offender left the scene in a vehicle while the injured man was taken to Hervey Bay hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
His case was mentioned briefly in court on Tuesday, and he was remanded in custody until Wednesday.
On Wednesday the matter was adjourned until December 5, 2024, and Mr Thanba was remanded in custody.
Meanwhile, investigations are ongoing into the second man and anyone with information is urged to contact police.
Police will allege the three men were known to each other.
