Christopher Daniel Romero charged over Brolga Theatre, council office break-ins
A man who allegedly broke into a council office the day after he damaged several items inside the Brolga Theatre has faced court.

A 33-year-old man has been charged for allegedly breaking into the Brolga Theatre and a Fraser Coast council office.
Christopher Daniel Romero appeared before Maryborough Magistrates Court on Monday, November 28, charged with enter premises with intent, enter premises and commit, attempted enter premises and commit by break.

Police allege about 4pm on Friday, November 25, Mr Romero broke into the Brolga on Walker St, Maryborough, “disturbing a large group of people” inside the theatre, before immediately “fleeing the scene on a scooter”.
No one was injured.

Several hours later, Mr Romero allegedly returned to the theatre and damaged “multiple items inside before removing a television and discarding it nearby”, according to police.
Police will also allege the next day about 3.45pm, Mr Romero broke into a Fraser Coast council office on Adelaide St, Maryborough.
He fled the scene without taking any items from the office, according to police.
Mr Romero was arrested by police a few hours later along Ellena St and Richmond Ln.
He was remanded in custody and the case was adjourned to January 16, 2023.
