A man will appear in court after an assault at Torquay Hotel
A 25-year-old man has been taken to hospital with head injuries after another man, 23, is alleged to have violently assaulted him at the Torquay Hotel.

A 23-year-old Scarness man has been charged with assault following an incident at the Torquay Hotel in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman shed light on the events that led to the charge.
According to the spokesman, the victim, aged 25, was allegedly punched in the head by the Scarness man.
In a statement released by the Queensland Ambulance Service, it was revealed paramedics had treated the man at 12.20am and had taken him to Hervey Bay Hospital with head injuries.
The victim was in a stable condition.
The alleged attacker will face Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on Monday.
