Organic egg cartons promote Fraser Coast and competition

MORE than 28,000 egg cartons have been specially branded to strengthen buyer awareness of the Fraser Coast origin of the organic eggs and promote a competition.

MORE than 28,000 egg cartons have been specially branded to strengthen buyer awareness of the Fraser Coast origin of the organic eggs and promote a competition.

The council has teamed up with Fraser Coast Free Range and Kingfisher Bay Resort in the new promotion.

One lucky customer of Fraser Coast Free Range Organic Eggs will win a five-night eco-adventure on world heritage listed Fraser Island. 

Councillor Robert Garland said the theme of the campaign was a Recipe to Live Life Happy.

"It's a first for the region and a great example of the positive working relationships between council and local business," he said.

"These organic eggs are a perfect product of nature.

"That's because Fraser Coast Free Range is home to 60,000 happy hens that are fed on organic grains in a natural seaside setting. T

"The quality of the eggs produced here on the Fraser Coast really is second to none."

Apart from being long-time suppliers to Sunny Queen Eggs, owners Max and Pam Alexander also package more than 3600 dozen eggs a week under their own brand, Fraser Coast Free Range Organic Eggs.

"Their loyal customers span the entire country, from the Sunshine Coast to Melbourne, Sydney to Western Australia, and this is the market we are targeting," Cr Garland said.

Once registered, participants will also be able to share tips on sustainable living and healthy recipes on the website and Facebook page.
