Developers of a new $100 million community to be built in Hervey Bay say it will challenge “the traditional model of over 50’s living”.

A statement released by new land lease sector entrant Liven Communities said it had chosen Hervey Bay for its first location, “introducing customised home designs and resort-style facilities that closely align with the needs of Australians in retirement or approaching retirement”.

“Construction of Liven Beach Road, located at 115 Beach Road in Urraween, will start soon with the first residents expected to move in next year.

“More than 600 people have already expressed interest in securing one of the first homes in the community.”

Liven Communities manager of developments Steven Wright said Liven Beach Road was a new option for over 50s.

“We are excited to introduce Liven Beach Road and our vision to create vibrant, active and supportive communities that provide a place for everyone,” Mr Wright said.

“These days retirement is often more about embracing new adventures and opportunities than slowing down so we’ve ensured that Liven Beach Road is aligned to the needs of Australia’s young-at-heart over 50s generation.

“Liven Beach Road features four unique, custom home designs, giving buyers the chance to choose the ideal home for their current and future needs.
