A staggering list of creditors, including one owed more than $1 million, has been revealed after a major Queensland electrical company went bust. SEE THE FULL LIST.

The financial fallout from the collapse of Fraser Coast electrical company Miles Electrical last week can be revealed as far-reaching and staggering with one creditor owed more than $1.2 million.

The longstanding company, that was contracted to the Maryborough munitions factory construction, owes more than $2.3 million to creditors after going into liquidation last week.

Creditors range from Fraser Coast local business to major companies around Australia.

They include 12 secured creditors who are owed $424,000, three related creditors and 36 unsecured creditors who are collectively owed $2,172,115.48.

Haymans Electrical is owed $1,281,971.84, Schneider Electric (Australia) owed $222,520.29andTrivantage Pty Ltd, based in Brisbane is owed: $239,495.30.

Miles Electrical entered creditor’s voluntary liquidation last week following a disputed $2m owed to them in relation to the $60 million Rheinmetall NIOA Munitions (RNM) plant build completed at the Moonaboola Industrial Estate in July.

The company, directed by Wayne and Rebecca Miles, had been trading since 2003 and notched up an extensive list of domestic, commercial and industrial projects in the region including more recently on the Hervey Bay High School Sports Hall.

Liquidator Paul Nogueira, of Worrells Solvency and Forensic Accountants, said the company ceased trading mid-September after a dispute surrounding the project.

“The company records indicate they (Miles Electrical) are owed in the order of $2 million, which is highly disputed by the parties.” Mr Nogueira said.

A Rheinmetall NIOA spokesman said RNM had fulfilled its contractual obligations in relation to the factory’s construction and the contractual arrangement for the building was with Badge Constructions.

Badge Constructions is yet to provide a comment after being contacted.

Liquidator Paul Nogueira said the money owed will be assessed and it was too early to tell if creditors would receive money owed to them.
