Man fractures skull after fall on Fraser Island

A MAN has been flown to hospital in Brisbane after slipping on tiles in a holiday home on Fraser Island.

A MAN has been flown to hospital in Brisbane after slipping on tiles in a holiday home on Fraser Island.

The 55-year-old man sustained a head injury after the fall at Orchid Beach about 9pm on Sunday. 

The man was treated by paramedics on the island and was flown by helicopter to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital with a fractured skull. 

He was flown in a serious but stable condition. 

It is believed the man slipped on tiles and fell backwards in the holiday house.
