A man in his 20s has been flown off K’gari after breaking his foot in an incident involving shallow water.
The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 1.45pm on Wednesday and landed at a helipad on the island.
A critical care doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service flight paramedic worked with local paramedics to treat the patient for a lower limb fracture.
The man was flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
