Man airlifted from Fraser after hitting head while swimming

A MAN has been airlifted from Fraser Island with possible spinal injuries after hitting his head in shallow water at Lake McKenzie.

A MAN has been airlifted from Fraser Island with possible spinal injuries after hitting his head in shallow water at Lake McKenzie.

The 20-year-old man was treated by paramedics about 4.30pm on Monday before be airlifted with suspected concussion and possible spinal injuries.

The RACQ Careflight Rescue helicopter took him to Hervey Bay in a stable condition.
