How former Hervey Bay mum had baby, lost 20kg and went on TV

IN THE space of six months, Kristy Sellars had a baby, lost 20kg and appeared on Australia'sGotTalent.

The episode featuring the mum-of-three and founder of Physipole Studios will be screened on Channel 7 on Sunday night.

Ms Sellars, who lived in Hervey Bay and started the Physipole Studio in the city before moving to Ballarat, said it was surreal to take to the stage in front of the audience and the judges.

"My life is pretty much the kids and school drop-offs and to go out in front of the cameras and lights was a very drastic change," she said.

"It is was really exciting, I really enjoyed it."

Pole dancing is a passion for Ms Sellars and she used her performance on Australia's Got Talent as motivation to get back into shape after giving birth.

"I lost 20kg and got a lot of my strength back," she said.

"It's important for mums to know that they can do it and if I can do it, anyone can."

Walking out on the stage, Ms Sellars was so focused on getting her performance right, she almost forgot she would be getting judged until she saw the judges standing in front of her.

Ryan Talbot, a visual artist from Los Angeles, helped create the performance, creating the projection and animations she danced in front of.

"I think a lot of people think of pole dancing is a certain type of thing but it's just as versatile as any other type of dance," she said.

Ms Sellars likes to take the audience on a journey through her dance, telling a story while also performing tricks that make the crowd gasp.

The show will air at 7pm on Sunday.
