UPDATE 6pm:

EMMA Dilliway said she doesn't usually drink, but after tonight's episode of Australia's Cheapest Weddings, she might help herself to a few.

The Maryborough woman and her husband Steven will appear in tonight's episode of the Channel 7 reality television show which documents their wedding day.

Initially the filming experience with Channel 7 was positive, but it all changed last week when a trailer was used of Emma singing to her groom on the wedding day and it went viral.

With more than 1.2 million views and tens of thousands of comments online mostly mocking her singing, it has been a tough week for the pair.

"I don't want to watch it, but I will," Emma said.

"You have got to see for yourself.

"If they changed that much of a little section of how wedding, I can only imagine how much they have changed for the whole day."

Emma says Channel 7 had edited out the background music and used different shots of her father and husband "reacting" to her singing.

"I'm not too much of a drinker," Emma said.

"But I might consider it tonight."

EARLIER:

EMMA and Steven Dilliway wanted their wedding to create memories for life, not feelings of regret.

But the Maryborough couple have come to regret letting Channel 7's TV camera crew in on their special day to film for reality show Australia's Cheapest Wedding earlier this year before the episode even goes to air.

Earlier this week week Channel 7's Facebook page posted an 18 second trailer for the new reality show, featuring the moment Emma sang Celine Dion's 'The Power of Love' to Steven in front of their wedding guests at the Brolga Theatre.

Emma says the clip has had the background music edited out along with showing shots of groom Steven and her father looking uncomfortable.

The clip has been viewed more than 1.1 million times in just a few days, shared over 3000 times and has garnered more than 18,000 comments, some in support of her, but most making fun of her.

"I'm just shocked - I didn't expect it to get a thousands views, but a million views is just crazy," Emma said.

"I have pretty much been in tears the last few days and I haven't wanted to go outside.

"They have taken a tiny bit of the day that just makes Steven and I's wedding look really, really bad.

"They turned our special day into a joke."

To make matters worse, publications like New Idea and the Daily Mail have jumped on to the viral video of Emma's wedding by printing articles with headlines like, "Bride's cringeworthy songs horrifies groom" and "the bridesmaids also seemed confused by the performance".

For the groom Steven, his wife's rendition was a beautiful gesture that he wouldn't have changed for the world.

"Initially I thought it would be a great experience to have them there," he said.

"To receive the amount of negative flak over it has been horrible, considering the episode hasn't even aired yet.

"It's extremely frustrating for me, I know the reason why Emma did it - it was a gesture of her love to me.

"It's not something people should be making fun of.

"The fact I have the media putting words in my mouth, saying I was 'horrified' does make me angry.

"They don't know how me or my father-in-law were feeling or what we were thinking."

"Surely people have something better to make fun of."

Channel 7 were contacted but did not reply in time for publication.
