Fire that gutted Maryborough home still under investigation

It’s understood no one was home when the fire broke out at the house on the corner of Lennox Street and North Street on Friday.

A fire that gutted a home in Maryborough last week remains under investigation.

A spokesman from the Queensland Fire and Rescue Service said the cause of the fire was still being investigated.

The fire broke out at the home on the corner of Lennox Street and North Street about 9.15pm Friday.

It is understood no one was inside the home at the time.

Paramedics were at the scene on standby for fire crews.

A spokesman from Queensland Fire and Emergency said the highset Queenslander had been well involved with flames when crews had arrived at the scene.
