Emergency crews kept busy in scooter, pedestrian and motorcycles crashes

Fraser Coast emergency crews were kept busy on the weekend with four separate crashes – two of which caused serious injuries.

Emergency service crews have been called to the scene of two serious crashes on the Fraser Coast over the weekend.

One man was taken to Hervey Bay Hospital in a serious but stable condition after an incident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in Kawungan about 8.30pm Saturday.

The man, aged in his 40s, suffered head injuries in the crash on Doolong Rd.

In a second incident on Saturday, a man in his 20s suffered spinal injuries in a single-vehicle crash on Maryborough-Hervey Bay Rd about 5.50pm.

The man was taken to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.

On Sunday, emergency services crews were again called after a patient was transported to Maryborough Hospital when a scooter and vehicle collided in Tinana.

The incident happened at 2.56pm at the intersection of Orleander Dr and Gympie Rd.

The patient was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

Also on Sunday, crews were called to a motorcycle crash in Dundowran about 11.35am.

The patient was taken to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.
